10th Annual Flounder Pounder Charity Fishing…

The 10th Annual Flounder Pounder, which was held at Beach Marine on October 26, 2019, was a HUGE success this year! Chip Davis, The Flounder Pounder Founder, challenged the Flounder Pounder Natio

n to help raise a $100,000 for 10 years! This goal was met and exceeded with a total of $145,000.00 raised!  While the money raised will help the critical programs needed to ensure our students will continue to receive services at JSA, we are grateful for the awareness that Chip has brought to our community.

“The Flounder Pounder” began in 2010, spearheaded by parents Chip and Teresa Davis. When their son Tyler was diagnosed with autism, they wanted to create an event that gave back to the cause.

With Tyler enrolled at JSA and Chip, being the avid fisherman that he is, immediately thought of hosting a fishing tournament to raise money for the school. From the very beginning, the Davis family devoted countless hours of time and energy to raising Autism Awareness, while creating a grassroots effort among family and friends to create this annual charity event.

To date, Flounder Pounder has raised over $595,000 in the past 10 years and is voted the best tournament in the 904!
