It was a wild night in the jungle at this year’s Spring Dance! The students, staff and parents danced to the sounds of DJ Kayne, munched on pizza and cupcakes, took short rides in a limo, met some interesting zoo animals and watched as a Hula dancer shared Hawaiian stories through dance. Big thank you to the Dance Committee for all their hard work in putting together yet another amazing dance. We could not have had this dance without the generosity of The Florida National Army Guard, Pieology Pizza, T’s Sweets & Treats (Teresa Davis), The Jacksonville Zoo, and Jax Party Bus and Limousine.
We would like to give special recognition to our very own Julia Harvey who spearheaded the spring dance again this year. From Parents Night Out to School Choice to our Spring Dance, Julia is always our motivator to get staff & parents involved! THANK YOU Julia for your dedication and leadership.
Ms. Julia did not work alone, in the jungle you have to work together and she had so many supporting her efforts from behind the scenes, to ticket sales, to decorating and securing donations. What a TEAM effort!! This year the staff sold over 100 tickets!! We would also like to recognize Ashley & Ben Lucas who were able to secure the venue for JSA with lots of helping hands from the soldiers!
